Andrea Trimble

Andrea Trimble is the Deputy Director for Shields & Stripes.

Andrea brings more than 17 years of engineering and program leadership experience into the nonprofit space, where she now serves as Deputy Director of Shields & Stripes. Earlier in her career, Andrea worked in the aerospace defense industry, collaborating closely with service members and mission-driven teams supporting national defense. After nearly two decades leading complex programs, she transitioned into the nonprofit sector to focus on mission-centered work that creates lasting, meaningful impact. At Shields & Stripes, her role centers on strengthening organizational systems and supporting the team so programs can be delivered with consistency and care.

Andrea’s connection to Shields & Stripes is both professional and personal. As the proud wife, sister, and friend of United States Marine Corps veterans, she understands firsthand the importance of holistic wellness, trusted community, and sustainable support. The discipline, systems thinking, and perspective developed throughout her career now inform how she approaches this work—practically, collaboratively, and with deep respect for lived experience.

Outside of Shields & Stripes, Andrea enjoys life with her husband and two energetic young boys, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. The lessons she has learned through her career—and more importantly through her roles as a wife, mother, and friend—have shaped her values of balance, connection, and intention, which continue to guide her commitment to this work and the people it serves.
