Geoff Tokajer

Geoff Tokajer is the Board Vice-Chair for Shields & Stripes.

Geoff Tokajer is a native of Long Island, New York and a life-long leader of teams. After serving ten years in the United States Marine Corps from 1993-2003 as an infantryman, all-source intelligence and military law, Geoff went on to pursue his MBA and seek new career opportunities in the private sector financial services industry where he acquired skill sets in risk management, business intelligence and fraud investigations working for Berkshire Hathaway’s GEICO.

In 2005, Geoff was hired by the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG/DEVGRU) to build, sustain, and manage sensitive capabilities and relationships for the Navy SEALs, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and U.S. Special Operations Command.

Geoff would go on to lead programs and teams for the Navy SEALs as the Director, Naval Special Warfare Identity Programs until 2018. Geoff finished his public service at the Pentagon where he served as Global Director of a U.S. Navy information warfare counterintelligence program from 2018-2022. Geoff then joined the management Team at Twitter where he led teams working with legal, public policy and global law enforcement organizations to prevent or mitigate incidents of violent actions, self-harm, and child exploitation among other activities.

Geoff joined McChrystal Group in January of 2023 where he was reunited with General Stan McChrystal and other leaders he served under and alongside during his time with JSOC. Geoff now applies his experience and lessons learned to his work helping organizations unleash their true potential applying McChrystal’s “Team of Teams” strategy and framework.

Geoff’s degrees include a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Legal Policy. Geoff and his wife Erin have three children and reside in McLean, Virginia.
