Josh Longnecker

Josh Longnecker handles Strategic Partnerships for Shields & Stripes.

Josh Longenecker is an active duty pararescueman in the U.S. Air Force. He has served nearly 10 years, deploying with Naval Special Warfare, Army Special Forces, and Air Force Rescue and Special Tactics Teams. Josh is embracing his new role as a father, and is separating from the military in the next year. He is a member of the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society, and is soon finishing the MBA program at the University of Denver Daniels College of Business. Josh is involved in the marketing strategy, CRM architecture/administration, business administration, and grant writing for Shields & Stripes.

Josh was born in Humble, Texas, and moved around the U.S. several times throughout his childhood. He received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida. Josh also played semi-professional rugby league for the Jacksonville Axemen for 4 years, winning 2 national titles. After graduating from UNF, he enlisted in the Air Force to be a PJ, seeking the opportunity to save those he considered his heroes, members of the US Armed Forces.

Today, Josh still considers U.S. military members, as well as first responders, to be his heroes. As he transitions out of the military he is glad he found Shields & Stripes so he can continue to give back to the community.
