Julie Rasmussen is an advisor for Shields & Stripes.

Julie Rasmussen is an experienced international business executive with over 30 years of CEO, COO, General Management and board experience.  She has served on boards of multinational and private companies, including startups and private equity funded companies, as Non-Executive director, Director and Executive Chairman. In her various roles, she has executed strategic management transitions, established corporate governance standards, served on audit and governance committees and created, led and executed corporate and business development strategy. As an experienced CEO and COO, she creates, leads and executes on strategy as well as establishing standard operating procedures for maximum efficiency and productivity against desired Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Her experience in private equity, both as a managing director and as an investor, as well as with merchant banking gives her unique insights to increasing shareholder value.

Most recently, she was the Founder & CEO of She Banks, a fintech startup whose mission was to improve financial literacy and economic outcomes for women. Previously, she was the Majority Owner and Executive Chairman of the Hertz Rent a Car Master Franchise for Russia and started up and scaled Mary Kay Inc’s corporate operations in Russia, taking them from zero to $100 M in sales in five years. As a serial entrepreneur, she has led startups in real estate development, food & beverage, security and biotech. Her passion is helping other woman scale their businesses and careers while keeping sight of what matter to them the most.
