Leanne McMillen

Dr. Leanne McMillen is the Telehealth Physical Therapist & Telehealth Team Leader for Shields & Stripes.

Dr. McMillen went to the College of Charleston to earn her BS in Exercise Science, followed by an additional 3 years in Charleston to attend the Medical University of South Carolina to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

After school, Leanne worked in a variety of settings to include outpatient sports medicine and orthopedic focused clinics, as well as the VA . She is certified in several techniques including dry needling and is working on more manual therapy based specialty certifications.

Growing up in a medical, military, and law enforcement family has really created a love for serving her country and giving back to those who sacrifice everything. She is also a military spouse to an AF Combat Controller, stationed in North Carolina.  Her father is an ER Doctor for a Search and Rescue team. Both her brother-in-laws serve their communities, with one being an Air Force Combat Controller, and the other an Illinois State Trooper.

Leanne currently works full time at a clinic in NC and when Shields & Stripes started up, she knew she had to get on board. Assisting a smooth transition into civilian life, returning back to the job, and addressing all physical goals is a true passion for Leanne. She is excited to work with this incredible organization to aid our service members and first responders.
