Mary-Catherine LaBossiere is a Registered Dietitian for Shields & Stripes.
Mary-Catherine LaBossiere is a registered dietitian, active duty military spouse, and business owner. She earned her Bachelor’s in Nutritional Sciences from Texas Christian University.
Following graduation, she passed the national exam to become a registered dietitian. Mary-Catherine then went on to earn her Master of Public Health (MPH) from Boston University, while working full time in obesity and diabetes research.
She transitioned to working at a behavioral health hospital, where she developed a greater knowledge of how nutrition impacts mental health and brain function. Mary-Catherine later achieved a certificate in functional nutrition to be better able to touch on whole body wellness.
Mary-Catherine currently operates her own business, Defy Nutrition, and works alongside several nonprofits – including Shields & Stripes – that serve the military, veteran, and first responder populations.
