Rafael Hernandez

Rafael Hernandez is an advisor for Shields & Stripes.

Rafael is a seasoned finance executive with a passion for serving those who protect and serve our communities. With over two decades of experience working in multiple industries, Rafael has established a personal goal for himself: To leverage his experience to support projects dedicated to help those who selflessly serve our nation.

Currently, Rafael serves as a Treasurer of Beth Israel Lahey Health, a not-for-profit healthcare system in the State of Massachusetts. He has held various positions in finance across the manufacturing, technology and identity & security sectors.

Rafael’s commitment to Shields & Stripes is deeply personal. His brother-in-law, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, who served 2 tours in Iraq and is currently a state trooper, has inspired him to dedicate his time and expertise to organizations that directly impact the lives of our military, first responders, and law enforcement officers.

Rafael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Maua School of Engineering and a MBA from Getulio Vargas Business School, both obtained in Brazil where he is originally from. He lives in Chelmsford MA with his wife and 5 kids.
